Puppies and Rosaries

A puppy!

Really, this could be its own post. I have a new roomie and future walking buddy – meet Sabine!

She is 8 weeks old today and weighs 11 pounds. She was a bit of a mess earlier today with the move away from home, mom, and her siblings. But she quickly perked up and has attempted to steal my pizza, successfully untied my shoe, and terrified the cats with her high pitch sounds of woe and angst between bouts of sleeping and play.

We had a bath already and are both traumatized as a result. She’s done well with everything else though from watching cars drive by to dealing with my power drill and hammer as I built something. A friend sent her a “welcome home” gift with a puzzle treat board. She won’t be spoiled at all!

Her name is obviously from Star Wars. Other options included Ahsoka and Arwen. Arwen was in the lead for a long time because my cats are named Faramir and Aragorn, but I thought I could have a crossover pet family and it’d be fine.

The Rosary

I’ve been playing online while she’s slept today, as I have the day off. This video popped up in my YouTube recommendations and it is too good to not share. It is a story about far more than the Rosary.

Much like my inability to connect to Saint Thérèse of Lisieux but am inexplicably drawn to her, I do not usually care for praying the Rosary but keep getting drawn back to it. I try to pray it every day, I started making Rosaries as a hobby, and end up watching videos like this. Why? God is just like that.
