The Path to the Dark Side with the Star Wars Virtual Challenge by The Conqueror Challenge

Recently, I’ve taken on a new challenge – the Star Wars Virtual Challenge from The Conqueror Challenges. This post is not sponsored; I just think it is a fun way to increase my fitness and wanted to share.

Tracking the Miles

The concept is fairly straight-forward. You that you keep track of your miles completed. This could be walking, running, rowing, or really anything that gets you moving. My watch keeps track of my steps and walking activities for me, and then every day it syncs that with the app on my phone. Every so often I get a new postcard, like the one at the top of this image or this one which marks where I am in this “journey.”

The Dark Side

I am currently following the path of Anakin, starting with the Podrace. There are 140 miles in this race, and I’ve completed 50 so far. Once this one is complete, I’ll tackle the Jedi Order (117 miles) and the Dark Side (75 miles). At the end of each, I’ll receive a medal.

The Light Side

The bundle also includes three more challenges that follow Luke’s journey. I’ll follow him on the Death Star run (87 miles), the Rebel Alliance (212 miles), and the rescue of Han Solo (60 miles). Each of these will also come with a medal.

Other Challenges

Previously, I completed the Shire Virtual Challenge with the same company. I received a medal which carried the One Ring. If I’d continued my Lord of the Rings journey, I would have walked all the way to Mordor.

They have a variety of challenges to look into, with many taking you all across the world.

Staying Motivated

I love this as it keeps me invested in walking. Sabine is joining me for most of it, of course, as I can’t have my Padawan sleeping away while I’m out getting steps.

Now that I’m getting slightly older (not old!), it is even more important to stay active. I try to walk every day and lift a few times each week to stay healthy.

Time-Bound Adventure

The only real downside is I only have two years to complete all six challenges. I don’t think this will be an issue, but it is something to be aware of when purchasing the bundle.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Star Wars Virtual Challenge has been an incredible way to blend my love for Star Wars with my fitness goals. If you’re a Star Wars fan looking for a fun and engaging way to stay active, I highly recommend giving it a try.
