The Continuing Chronicles of Chroniclus

He’s back! Our mouse-friend watcher of deeds is continuing his analysis of the adventuring party he’s discovered in Moonshae Isles (aka the Dungeons and Dragons campaign I’m playing in).

Methos,

May this letter find you blessed by Oghma’s wisdom! I write to you, scarcely able to contain the thrill of discovery, for I have stumbled upon an opportunity like no other for one of the Keepers of Truth. Here, in the Moonshae Isles, I have encountered an adventuring party of awe-inspiring might—a band so powerful that I believe they may be avatars of the gods themselves!

Allow me to paint for you a portrait of one young member, a lad named Kai. He looks no older than twelve, and yet he wields strength that defies explanation. His allies, mighty fighters and adept magic-users, stand bewildered before his abilities. This boy has felled creatures far beyond his years and cannot even remember the battles. I suspect he is, in truth, a living star map—though he occupies himself with cleaning the ship. But surely, this “cleaning” must be a ritual! Perhaps it is a spell to ward off dark spirits that shadow his steps.

Then, there is Ash, a warrior if ever there was one, and I am certain she hails from an ancient sect. Her every move speaks of her warrior’s code, what I call the Sacred Rite of Confrontation. And her unusual displays of strength? I refer to them as the Calling of the Abs. She wields her power with subtle mastery, hiding even greater magic beneath the surface. I am becoming convinced she is on a divine quest to slay none other than the shark god Sekolah himself! Imagine it—Ash, the Foe of Shark Gods! I may need to devote an entire volume to her tale alone.

And then, we have Arwen, an elven woman of formidable presence. She seems to be fleeing from a dark past, yet that does not prevent her from wreaking glorious havoc upon our enemies. I cannot shake the suspicion that she shares a mysterious bond with young Kai, perhaps forged in some blood-binding ritual that intertwines their fates. It is thrilling to ponder!

Methos, these individuals have been brought together for a purpose I cannot yet discern. Are they avatars? If so, which gods? Are they lost heirs to ancient thrones or guardians bound by oaths they themselves do not remember? The more I witness, the deeper the mysteries grow!

I eagerly await your counsel, my friend, as I strive to capture their history. Already, I am contemplating titles: The Seven Stars, Keepers of the Tide, Avatars of the Forgotten Depths, Echoes of Storm and Starlight, Harbingers of the Shattered Sea, The Saga of the Starborn, or Coven of the Sea. Do share any thoughts you have, whether on titles or the kind of details you would deem essential in chronicling such a group.

Yours in the service of Oghma’s truth,

Chroniclus
